Works Great, Looks Great
What I like: Works great and is very quiet. My favorite feature is the adjustable top rack to accommodate tall items. I originally thought that the third thin rack at the top, intended for flatware, would not be useful as I prefer to use the flatware basket. I had planned to remove it, but it turns out to be very useful for long pieces like spatulas, wooden spoons, etc. or other flat items (small plastic lids).
What I don't like: Can't tell time left in the cycle without opening the door, and the long running time (an issue with all the new dishwashers not only LG).
Overall I am very happy with it.

No water spots
With the top rack for silverware I finally have no water spots on my sikverwre.
The dishwasher cleans very well and I am happy with the results, my only con is that it is loud.

Worth your time & money
My wife and I took our time looking at and reading about dishwashers, LG had the edge on all the others in verbal description, but I still had to see and touch one before purchase. We ordered one to look at and loved it. So many features it made my head spin, and durning the first cycle of running it, all we heard was a little bit of water splashing around. No motor noise, no squeaking, no rattles, not a sound otherwise. I wish LG made automobiles. Love this LDT7797ST Dishwasher, thank you LG.

More wash settings than necessary
Why do designers keep adding bells and whistles to a product that really only needs a heavy, normal and delicate cycle. This dishwasher seems to clean the dishes well but the lower rack could use more divider tines. The thought, I guess, is for large kettles to set unencumbered by tines - really, kettles will set over tines. What about smaller storage containers, smaller mixing bowls? These items need the support of tines. If I live long enough to need another dishwasher, I will not get this style again.

Outstanding dishwasher
Our LG dishwasher was installed three weeks ago. Dishes emerge sparkling clean, the black stainless looks great and cleans easily. The third shelf allows space for small odd items without taking space in the other racks.

Much more cheaply made than our former dishwasher.
This was a extended warranty replacement for a five year old LG that began to fail at the beginning of the fourth year. Everything about the replacement is lower end. The LG brand was selected only because we wanted something with a door handle to match the other LG appliances purchased at the same time. Now our LG refrigerator is experiencing door issues. Thank goodness for extended warranties.

The ONLY reason this review is not a 5 is because my dishwasher took 3 months to get to my house. Other than that, the dishwasher itself is freaking awesome. Love the design, the quietness and all the great features it has to offer. The Smart ThinQ app that you can download that hooks up to the dishwasher through wi-fi is kind of neat. It basically tells you what cycle you selected on the dishwasher, the time that’s left, and then it alerts you when the cycle has stop. Overall I’m loving my new dishwasher.

Does this model have the ability heat the water beyond the temperature that the main house water heater is set at? My dishes are never very hot or clean at the end of a cycle even when using high temp. I'm wondering if I just have a defective unit.

The Stainless Steel on this LG Top Control Dishwasher with QuadWash™ and EasyRack™ Plus, Model # LDT7797ST is not fingerprint or smudge resistant. Not sure if when asking about the "Electrical current" for this unit you are asking about its Electrical requirements or the current which is measured in amperes? The Electrical Requirements are 120 V, 60 Hz AC only and a minimum 15 Ampere circuit breaker...^IFV

The LG Top Control Dishwasher with QuadWash™ and EasyRack™ Plus, Model # LDT7797ST has 9 wash cycles (Auto, Heavy, Delicate, Normal, Turbo, Download Cycle, Machine Clean, Rinse, Express), that will vary in duration. The actual running time and cycle time will be shown on the display but may change depending on options chosen, soil level, water temperature, and hardness of water.
